My fees align with guidelines in the BCACC list of average fees however I realize that in challenging times, money can be a complicated issue.
So if needed, let’s have a conversation about money. My first priority is that children get the services they need. Below are some additional payment options you may be able to explore.
Extended Benefits Plans
Some benefit plans cover counselling fees with a Registered Clinical Counsellor, up to a certain amount. Because I’m an RCC, this is often a viable option. Check with your employer to see if it is available to you.
Crime Victim Assistance Program
If you are the victim of or witness to a crime, you can apply to have up to $80/session covered through the department of Justice.
If cost is a true challenge, there are numerous programs that provide counselling for very little cost or none at all. Community service agencies, schools, universities and counselling agencies with student or intern programs are all worth exploring. The list of option is extensive, but Fraser River Counselling’s student program is a good place to start.
